(Yea, I know, I changed his warrior name. *whines* I just thought Sageghost was better....)
Name: Sagestar
warrior name: Sageghost
Age: 38 Moons; 3 years, 3 months
Gender: Male
Clan: ThunderClan
Rank: Leader
Description: Just before I start, I must say that Sagestar is nothing more than Sagestar. There is nothing important about him other than the fact that he is leading ThunderClan. He is not overly striking, not overly masculine or even overly friendly. He’s just a normal cat. There is nothing special about him. Like I said previously, he’s not overly masculine. Yes, he is a male, and yes, he does look like a male. He’s large, male-like, but like I said, not overly large. Probably, the most distinct portion of Sagestar is his bright, emerald-green eyes. They say that eyes are the windows to the soul, well if they are, then it appears that Sagestar has no soul, because as beautiful and remarkable his eyes are, they are cold and calculating, proving that he’s not an easy tom to get along with. His body is long and lean, built well for running and leaping, but also he is just muscled enough that he is a formidable fighter.
Sagestar is one of your regular cats. He does not have anything exceedingly outstanding, but yet in himself, he is special if not for the fact that he is not perfect. Half of his right ear is gone, as well as he has a long scar that stretches diagonally from the top of his shoulder to the middle of his belly. Despite being in ThunderClan, Sagestar is adept in the water, mainly because of his breed – the Turkish Van. He never wished to live in the water, and he does not exactly say like to swim, but if he needs to, he is more than able to. Sagestar’s pelt is as unordinary as the rest of him, dull and white in coloration, with the top of his head and his ears a slate gray. He has a few spots of gray elsewhere along his body, as well as his entire tail is gray. His pelt is long, slightly coarse and rough in texture, but very silky when he can take the time to groom it.
Quick Description: Large white and gray tom with emerald-green eyes
History: Sagestar was supposedly born to the loner she-cat Silverfall and the ShadowClan tom Stainedclaw. His mother died while giving birth, and his father had no choice but to bring the kittens into ShadowClan. He had three siblings: Shimmerkit, a silver-gray and white sister; Brazenkit, a white and black brother; and Brindlekit, a brown-ginger and white sister. Out of all his siblings, Sagekit was the oldest but he was the runt of the family. His sisters were quite larger than him and his brother, though Brazenkit was quite larger than him. They were taken in, just hours after their birth, by a kind, blue-gray ThunderClan queen by the name of Tearpool. Tearpool also happened to be Stainedclaw mate. They grew up normally, not knowing that Tearpool was not their real mother. Stainedclaw was a popular cat within the clan. With ease, he was able to pass his ‘out of clan’ children off as a lie. He claimed that Silverfell had tricked him into thinking that the kits she was going to have were his, and that he could never have known, but he couldn’t have let the kittens die. It was true, however suspicious the clancats were of him now.
That was why Tearpool agreed to mother them.
From Stainedclaw’s and Tearpool’s litter, there were four kittens, three males and a she-kit; Shadowkit, Shrewkit, Splashkit and Turningkit. Because of his small size, Sage never got into play-fighting with his sisters and brothers. He was always getting picked on, even by his sisters, so he had to lay off a lot of things. The only one from both litters to ever not pick on him was Turningkit. From the beginning, Sagekit knew that there was something different about him and his siblings from the others. Shadowkit, Shrewkit and Splashkit seemed to know something that he, Brazenkit, Shimmerkit and Brindlekit didn’t. One day, after the kittens had become apprentices, the three boys teamed up on Sagepaw and messed him up pretty bad. Sagepaw refused to fight back. He wouldn’t raise a fang or a claw against his own siblings, no matter how much they hated him. Tearpool, however much of a mother and she-cat and kind soul she had been, had always despised Silverfell for trying to pass her kittens off as Stainedclaw’s. And she couldn’t help but admit that the four kittens she step-mothered weren’t hers, and that they didn’t get the same type of loving treatment.
After her sons beat up Sagepaw, and he had to stay with the current MedicineCat – Cloudedleaf – had confronted Tearpool about it, she decided to tell Sagepaw, if only. The other kittens seemed to get along fine – only Sagepaw was the odd-man-out. She felt for him, if only for the fact that even his own siblings wouldn’t accept him. After she told him, Sagepaw refused to speak to any of his siblings – blood or not – his father and Tearpool. He couldn’t deal with the fact that they hated him and that his foster mother and father had lied to him. The only one that ever even tried to talk to him was Turningpaw. And it seemed that there was something more about her, like maybe she knew. And maybe she didn’t care. It was in that, that Sagepaw began to follow Turningpaw’s pawsteps.
Her siblings didn’t like that Sagepaw and her was so close, and in turn, they focused all their anger about it or all of their boredom on him. Turningpaw tried to defend him, and Sagepaw wouldn’t let her. He didn’t want her to get in trouble with her siblings the way that his siblings hated him. Sagepaw was the first of his siblings to be made a warrior. He was named Sageghost, because he was always quiet and just seemed like a ghost to the real world around him. No body cheered for him. It didn’t bother him. He had planned to leave anyway.
Sageghost left ShadowClan, for ThunderClan, whom he had always heard was the kindest of all the clans, despite how much ShadowClan talked wrongly about them. Sageghost knew that the only cat within the clan he would miss was Turningpaw, and he led her away from ShadowClan to tell her the one thing that he had never told any other creature in the world. That he loved her. As more than siblings. Turningpaw told him that she understood and that she knew about them not being related. She vowed to love him for all eternity. Sageghost was glad that he had at least got something out of his horrible life as a child. After explaining to the current leader of ThunderClan what had gone on, the gentle she-cat, Mistingstar, had accepted him into the Clan without a moment’s pause. He may not have been the most favorite tom in the clan, but he was at least granted the ideal of being accepted into the clan without question. Mistingstar vouched for him when he appeared at the next gathering. After that, he’d been accepted fully into ThunderClan.
After the sudden death of Brokenfang, ThunderClan’s deputy, in a battle with a badger, Mistingstar had chosen Sageghost to be deputy. Despite getting a little bit of grief for it, he’d gotten mostly support from his clanmates, and he’s gladly stepped into the position, seeing as the only cat he was closest to in ThunderClan was his leader.
At the next gathering, when he was announced as ThunderClan’s deputy, the rest of the clans had applauded, finding that he’d been very mistreated within his own clan. ShadowClan was vehement. His siblings, now all warriors, had decided to start a fight with him, despite the pact of neutrality. Once again, Sageghost refused to fight back. The sisters, Brindlesong and Shimmerhope, backed down instantly once they saw that ThunderClan was willing to fight them back. It took Brazenclaw a single slash across his chest to make him turn tail and run. Shadowfang, Shrewpelt and Splashwing didn’t. In the end, the only cat that had been able to stop the fighting was Turningpetal, who’d leapt to Sageghost’s side and took a bite to the shoulder from her own siblings, Splashwing. Her siblings instantly backed down, and the ShadowClan leader personally apologized to Sageghost for the troubles of his siblings.
Turningpetal came with Sageghost back to ThunderClan. While still deputy, he fathered a litter of two, Streakedkit and Swirledkit. Mistingstar peacefully passed on in her sleep of old age, her deputy, her MedicineCat, Turningpetal and her god-children at her side.
